Hey!
Most women don’t develop beards, but we have isolated cases where some women do. This is all because of hormones those tiny body messengers that control how we grow and look.
There’s one special hormone called testosterone that’s the boss in charge of beard growth. 🧔♂️
Men have a lot of testosterone, so their faces grow hair (like beards and mustaches).
Women have just a small amount of testosterone and more of another hormone called estrogen, which doesn’t support beard growth.
What if a woman grows a beard?
Sometimes, women can grow facial hair if:
1.Their testosterone levels are higher than usual
2.They have certain medical conditions
3.They’re going through older age changes, like menopause
But for most women, their hormones don’t give the green light for beard construction! 🛑
So simply put:
Men = more testosterone = more beard
Women = more estrogen = smooth face 💁🏽♀️
