A human being has a septum in the heart to separate the left and right sides, which is essential for keeping oxygen-rich blood from the lungs separate from oxygen-poor blood returning from the body. This division allows the heart to function efficiently as a double pump—one side sending deoxygenated blood to the lungs for oxygenation, and the other sending oxygenated blood to the rest of the body. Without the septum, the mixing of blood would reduce the efficiency of oxygen delivery, leading to serious health issues.

      Thanks for asking this.
A septum in a human heart is like an in-built wall that separates the different parts of the heart. it fuctions in preventing the blood from mixing, supports different blood pressures and plays and important role in in the heart’s electrical conductivity.
