Michael Kimwele answered on 17 Jul 2025:

Chlorophyll does absorb certain wavelengths of ordinary light for photosynthesis, specifically blue and red light. However, it reflects green light, which is why plants appear green. While chlorophyll doesn’t absorb green light as efficiently as blue or red, it still utilizes a portion of it for photosynthesis.
