In Kenya, over the years, the University of Nairobi has been the prominent one for pursuing a medical career. However, you’ll need very high cluster points to get a placement there.
There are other public universities such as Moi University, Kenyatta University, Egerton, JKUAT and Maseno that are equally good and offer medical courses with similar training levels.
Currently we have private universities that offer medical courses and might be slightly expensive in terms of fees.
Depending on your grade you can choose where to go.
Don’t limit yourself to Kenyan universities, we have world renown universities such as Yale, Harvard, Cambridge etc that offer medical courses and are among the best in the world.

Many universities offer studies to pursue a career in Medicine and its allied medical courses. In Kenya, there are the likes of the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, Kenya Medical Training Colleges, etc. Each with varied cluster points and a better performance in grades is crucial for medical courses.
Keeping your options open, studies outside Kenya are limitless. The global north countries have better choices due to more advanced technologies, but concept-wise I’d recommend Indian and Chinese Institutions as most people around the world get treatments from these countries.

Any university in Kenya that has been approved by the Commission for University Education to teach medicine is good enough. The University of Nairobi has been a popular choice for many years, but if you don’t get in, don’t worry. You can also consider other good universities like Kenyatta University, Maseno University, and others. I know great doctors who studied at these schools.
If you are thinking about studying outside Kenya, countries like the UK, USA, and Australia have very good medicine courses. You can search online to see which universities you like, check the entry requirements, and apply. Sometimes, you just need to take a step of faith.
