I slept at 10.00 on normal days but I often stretched even up to 2:00 am reading chemistry in the washrooms (the only place where there was light after 10.00 pm)
Our evening preps used to end at 10pm so I would go to sleep at that time. However, I am an early morning person, so I preferred waking up very early to read rather than sleeping late.
Find out what works for you rather than sleeping very late all the time or when you are tired.
I have always loved sleeping, and in high school, I really struggled with morning and evening preps. I often found myself dozing off during those sessions. So I decided to adjust my routine after evening prep ended at 9 p.m., I would take a shower and go straight to bed.
Since I was more active during the day, I made sure to use my daytime wisely by paying attention in class and doing most of my studies then. That worked well for me.
When I was in high school, I usually aimed to sleep around 10:00 PM. That’s actually a healthy time—gives your brain and body enough rest to grow, recharge, and be ready for the next day.
If you’re sleeping around 10 PM consistently, you’re doing great—especially if you wake up feeling fresh. Just make sure you’re getting about 8–9 hours of sleep each night, which is ideal for teens.
Our official sleeping time was 11:00 PM, but I used to stretch it a bit 😅. You’d often find me in the dormitory corridor or sitting on the stairs -sometimes alone, sometimes with a group I had formed -deep in past paper discussions. 📝🔥
We knew those extra minutes (or hours!) of teamwork and revision could make a big difference. It wasn’t always easy, but the effort was worth it!
