To position yourself on the path toward becoming a scientist in Kenya:

Target a mean KCSE of C+

Ensure C+ in at least three science subjects, including mathematics

Gain entry to a BSc program

After your BSc, pursue postgraduate studies (MSc/PhD) in your chosen science field

      Hey!

A C+ and above in the science subjects will definitely give you a shot, so don’t stress too much! But, keep in mind that there are also a lot of exciting scientific courses you can explore, like Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences -they’re all great fields that can lead to rewarding careers in health and research.

Just make sure you know which specific course you’d love to pursue, and focus your energy on that. It’s all about finding what excites you the most! 😊

Best of luck with everything, and feel free to reach out if you need more info or advice! 🌟

The science field is wide. You can choose to go into medical science, biological sciences, chemistry, social sciences, data science or computer science. In all these field you need a grade of C+ and above to join university but if that’s not possible you can still start with a certificate or diploma and still work up to become a great scientist as there is no expiration date.

Whatever grade you get just take time to work hard and you can become a scientist in any field.

As long as you score a grade that can get you into university, you can become a scientist because scientists are found in all fields, not just one. So focus on working hard to get a grade that qualifies you for university. Once you complete your bachelor’s degree, you can continue with further studies like a master’s and even a PhD. And just like that, you become a scientist in the field you love!
