the degree is tough but awesome, Complex subjects can be tough to one, and lab experiments sometimes flop, which is super annoying. Juggling classes, labs, and life is a real struggle, and exams can hit hard if you’re not ready for deep thinking. My tip? Break concepts down, team up with study buddies, and don’t hesitate to bug your profs for help.

Biochemistry is challenging at first because you get introduced to lots of new information around human, plant, animal and pathogen biology. I found it challenging to grasp all the different topics every other semester but the lecturers and coursemates were very supportive.
