      πŸ‘‹ Hello there!
Wondering which antibiotics are used to treat gonorrhoea? πŸ§¬πŸ’ŠπŸ‘‡

      βœ… 1. Ceftriaxone πŸ’‰
Dose: 500 mg intramuscular injection (single dose)

Why: Most effective and recommended worldwide

      βœ… 2. Doxycycline πŸ’Š (for Chlamydia co-infection)
Dose: 100 mg orally, twice a day for 7 days

      Use: Often combined with ceftriaxone

      βœ… 3. Cefixime πŸ’Š (alternative)
Dose: 800 mg orally (single dose)

Note: Used only if ceftriaxone isn’t available

      ❌ Not Recommended Anymore
      Ciprofloxacin πŸ§ͺ

      Azithromycin πŸ’Š
      Due to rising antibiotic resistance

      I hope this helps.
