β 1. Ceftriaxone π Dose: 500 mg intramuscular injection (single dose)
Why: Most effective and recommended worldwide
β 2. Doxycycline π (for Chlamydia co-infection) Dose: 100 mg orally, twice a day for 7 days
Use: Often combined with ceftriaxone
β 3. Cefixime π (alternative) Dose: 800 mg orally (single dose)
Note: Used only if ceftriaxone isnβt available
β Not Recommended Anymore Ciprofloxacin π§ͺ
Azithromycin π Due to rising antibiotic resistance
