Controlling feelings during adolescence can be challenging due to hormonal changes and emotional development, but it is possible through self-awareness, healthy communication, and positive coping strategies. Adolescents can learn to manage emotions by identifying what they are feeling, talking to trusted adults or peers, practicing mindfulness or relaxation techniques, engaging in physical activities, and setting personal boundaries. Building self-esteem, staying away from negative influences, and learning to pause and reflect before reacting also help in maintaining emotional control. Over time, these habits contribute to emotional maturity and better decision-making.
I guess it’s quite challenging but personally the way I did it is trying to look at the pros and cons of almost everything that I wanted to do based on what I was feeling and how it could affect me. That helped me control my feelings but not all of them. If you get to a point where your feelings are out of control always step back and reanalyze the situation. Don’t fall easily for peer pressure to look cool as this will make ot hard for you to control your feelings. Soon enough you’ll get over adolescence and you don’t want to regret anything that your feelings made you do.
