      YES. Inability to talk also refered to as mutism can be treated.
      Treatment to regain speech depends on the cause of mutism. Causes of mutism include congenital deafness, neurological disorders, and structural abnormalities of the vocal apparatus.
      Speech therapy, language intruction and technology can be used to treat mutism.
